About Us

Hi! Thank you for stopping by our page. We are Michael and Jillian Leonard and we’ve been together for almost 10 years and married for 4. Like most millennials, yes we are part of the millennial generation but age puts us as the elders of this generation, we pursued life like everyone else our age does: go to college, get a degree, get a “good” job, get married, and start to finance your life away (i.e. cars, house, wedding, vacations, etc.). After years of living this life that felt more like a hamster wheel, we realized there was a level in unfulfillment. After chasing the job life for so long, we didn’t know what we needed until we got around a different association. We learned quickly that we had no values defined and no “why” in our life. We were living the same 9-5 groundhog day living for the weekend and going nowhere real fast.

Our lives were changed when we started to learn about entrepreneurship and the ability to control the destination of our lives rather than pleaing for some of our time from a boss. After a few years of learning what we’ve learned, we knew we wanted to give back because we know there are people out there who think to themselves, “There’s got to be something more than this?” With that, Grit & Grace was born! A blog written by both of us about entrepreneurship, starting a business, budgeting, living debt free, time management, personal growth and development, marriage, values, and helping people define their why. Grit & Grace is our cup overfloweth and our way to serve the world. We look forward to getting to know you as we build this community. Let’s do this!
